EP – 1 Exploring North Bali, Indonesia | Leke Leke falls, Jatiluwih Rice Terrace, Ulun Danu Temple
North Bali, Indonesia is famous for hills, rice terraces, waterfalls and is largely popular for peace and greenery & cold weather.
We did a Day trip to North Bali and visited a couple of sightseeing locations like Leke Leke water falls, Jatiluwih rice terrace, Fruit and vegetables market and Handara gate.
We started early morning at around 8 am from Ubud, Central Bali and reached Ubud by end of the day.
i would suggest you to plan one night stay in North Bali for a better experience.

Below are the Activities we did throughout the day.
Leke Leke Waterfalls – We traveled around 30 km from the Ubud & started our day in the morning from Leke Leke Falls. After some Stairs going down, we reached the falls & we enjoyed bathing in the Fall, overall it was a great experience here.
Leke Leke Waterfalls Tickets – IDR – 50,000
INR – 260 ( Approx )
Waterfall Timing – 7:00 am to 5:30 pm
Jatiluwh Rice Terrace – After this, we traveled around 20 km and reached the World Heritage Site “Jatiluwh Rice Terrace”& saw the amazing view of Rice Terrace there. This Rice field is about Organic farming which is one of the reasons it’s considered a World Heritage Site.
Red Rice Local Shop – After this, we visited the local shop there & tasted the Snake fruit, & We also purchased Red Rice from there.
Red Rice Cost – 15,000 IDR
Rs 80 INR approx
Coconut Water – After some Trek we bought Coconut water & enjoyed the rice terrace view while having it.
Coconut Water Cost – 10,000 IDR
110 INR approx
Warung near Jatiluwih rice terrace – Then we found an eatery and had their Balinese Cake which is a combination of Red Rice, Sticky Rice, avocado & Palm Sugar.
Lunch at Nadi Resort – After this, we travelled around 10 km and reached the Nadi Resort & had lunch there overall the lunch was great in taste & environment of the resort was also so nice.
Tariff of room at this resort is about 100 USD which includes breakfast.
Lunch Cost – Moong Dal – 1, 70,000 IDR ( INR – 880 )
Baingan Bharta – 95,000 IDR ( INR – 450 )
Fruit & Vegetable Market – After lunch we visited the Fruit & Vegetable Market & explored the different types of fruits there & tasted the Snow fruit & Mangosteen which i hadn’t tasted it before.
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple – Then we travelled around 10 mins from the fruit market & reached at the Ulun Danu Temple. This is the Lord Shiva Temple. The temple complex is on the shores of Lake Beratan. This temple was built in 1633, & the temple is a mixture of Hinduism and Buddhism
Temple Ticket – IDR – 75,000 ( INR 390 ) Per Person
Handara Gate – After this, we visited the Handara Gate, known as the Gate of Heaven Bali. The gate with its stunning Architecture & picturesque surroundings this place is the perfect spot for capturing amazing photographs. We also took some great Photographs here.
Handara Gate Ticket – IDR 50,000 ( INR 260 ) Per Person
After this, we ended our day
